Group Study Tours

Education Queensland International coordinates study tours that enrich the educational experiences of overseas students visiting Queensland schools. Merrimac State School has hosted a number of study tours in recent years.

Our tour programs cultivate positive social and cultural interaction between students and create and promote an interest in different racial, religious and cultural backgrounds. International communities and schools enjoy forming ties with Queensland communities and schools.

For visiting student groups, who are always made very welcome in Queensland schools, our programs provide an insight into Australian culture and academic life.

During their school day they are involved in special English classes and normal classroom activities. A buddy takes the visitor around and looks after them during their school visit.
