Everyone was ready at 6.20 a.m. for our departure to Blue Cow. We pulled out on time arriving in Cooma at 8.00 a.m. for breakfast. Students filed through the Ski Company and were fitted with pants, jackets, boots and gloves before heading to McDonald’s for breakfast. We departed Cooma at 9.00 a.m. arriving at Bullocks Flat with time to change and toilet before catching the 11.00 a.m. ski tube.
The day in the snow was fantastic – the weather was divine with blue skies, little wind and generous cover of snow. As can be expected students were soon rolling, jumping and throwing snow. Their enjoyment continued for the next hour before heading to the restaurant for lunch. After lunch students returned to the snow for photos and to make some snowman and throw a few more snow balls.
Time soon passed and it was time to board the ski tube for the journey back down to Bullocks Flat.
This journal is being prepared as we journey back to Cooma to drop off the ski clothes and make a short toilet stop.
I am sure everyone has had a great day experiencing the beauty of our snowy mountains in their full glory. This will be a day our students remember for a long long time.
We will not arrive back in Canberra until about 7.30 p.m. Once dinner is over it will be an early night to bed for students (and teachers) …
Until tomorrow … enjoy the great snow shots!
