Today the weather was cool then sunny and then hail!

The day started with a school tour to see the library, ICT Centre, toilets, playgrounds, office and classrooms. After the tour students, staff and IEC enjoyed billy tea and damper before attending a special welcome ceremony.

The ceremony included a strings ensemble, choir, children's singing, dancing, speeches, exchange of gifts and drama performance. The KES children performed gymnastics with much applause by Merrimac students.

After the ceremony the students enjoyed a tuckshop lunch before attending a mini olympics. Unfortunately it hailed and the event had to be held indoors.

After school students returned to their home stays to relax and learn about Aussie life.

Tonight staff and IEC members will attend a social dinner.

Tomorrow students will integrate into classrooms. Staff will attend an Education Lunch and IEC members will visit a local restaurant.
